Mountains are uncatchable, because they are absolute and always ready to collapse. They are irresistible for the dancer as well as for the climber, who face a constant dialogue with the voidvby means of pure motor intelligence. Both move in the vastness of the landscape and run risks to proceed to a crucial transformation, ie they become the landscape itself, absorbing all the information and returning it in the form of continuous movement.
Dance always explores the outside world, with the result of dissolving the human figure in the outdoor, the same as the climber on a rocky wall. What you see from the top is just incidental.

Suspended between physical world and invented reality, Parete Nord collects these feelings to abstract them in the form of a dyptich: the first part is built on the incessant and close dynamism of the performers, the second is a landscape scene, which creates the moving model of an alpine view, moved by mysterious events and inspired by the "geographical disobedience" that every mountain territory brings with it.
