The Instrucion Series are a new productive format, developed by choreographer Michele Di Stefano with Xing. The aim is at producing compact and quick works focusied on seriality and collaboration. The 'instructions for a performance to be made' are the core of the choreographic project, which is developed in the distance, by e-mails sent to different ordinary and extraordinary people. The instructions sent by the choreographer are pure informations, a trigger. They are written to be misunderstood, to fulfill a gap and to underline the author's impossibility to prefigure the development of organic but elusive matters. The production of images and acts reveals its organic unity through individual and chaotic responses. The process is about appropriation and translation. Displacement is the behavioural code for the performer. While playing with such parameters as "everywhere" and "anybody", the Instructions ask for a technical response, a topographic rearrangement of the bodilly conditions. There are no hierarchies in the project. Everything will be corrupted as it should.

Addressed to anybody and published in AAVV, Segue - festival F.I.S.Co Bologna, Xing 2011.

At the Opificio in Rome. An episode which flirts with the exotic, the technical gesture and the negotiation of identities for four very different artistic units and guests.
